Upper Secondary Pathway
Ages 16–18 (Grades 11–12)
Our Upper Secondary Pathway empowers students to shape their own futures with confidence, purpose and ambition. Building on the strong academic and personal foundations developed throughout their learning journey, students pursue personalised pathways that reflect their strengths, interests and aspirations.
Our curriculum combines academic rigour with independence, leadership and real-world application. Drawing on internationally recognised standards to ensure clear progression and high expectations, students are encouraged to think critically, communicate effectively, collaborate with others and apply their learning to authentic challenges beyond the classroom.
Alongside their academic studies, students undertake meaningful research, develop leadership through service and community engagement, and explore future pathways through careers education, university guidance and work-related experiences.
As Ash Mount School continues to grow, our intention is to develop both International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) pathways, ensuring that our Upper Secondary offer reflects the aspirations, strengths and future ambitions of our students and our community. The final shape of these pathways will be developed as part of the school’s ongoing International Baccalaureate authorisation journey.
By the time they graduate from Ash Mount School, students leave as confident, compassionate and courageous young adults, ready to make a positive contribution wherever their future takes them.
