PRINCIPAl's MESSAGE
Hello, and welcome to Ash Mount.
Ash Mount School is opening to students in August 2026, and we cannot wait to welcome our first families. From the very beginning, this school has been imagined as something more than just a place to learn. It is a community of thinkers, explorers, leaders, and kind-hearted learners. A place where students feel seen; where learning is exciting and meaningful; and where compassion, courage, and purpose are at the heart of every day.
I am proud to be the Founding Principal, and I could not be more excited to bring this vision to life. Over the last 30 years, I have worked across schools in the UK, Qatar, and the UAE as a teacher, leader, inspector, and mentor, but my focus has always been the same: building schools where children are truly known, and where education is about the whole child, not just test results.
At Ash Mount, learners are at the centre of every decision, quite literally. From the amphitheatre designed to give children a voice, to the relevance of our international curriculum; from the role of loose parts play in our Early Years playground, to the way classrooms support movement and focus; and from shared learning spaces to the calm, thoughtful design of our Senior Common Room as students prepare for life beyond school; every detail has been created with young people in mind.
Our curriculum blends international best practice with the UAE’s national priorities and global goals. We believe in rigour and curiosity; in challenge and joy; in growing not just what students know, but who they are. We help children develop their voice, build strong relationships, and take real steps toward becoming the kind of adults our world needs. As a mum of three very different learners, I know how important it is to feel that your child is understood. No two children grow the same way, and our job is to walk beside them, offering the stretch and support they need at every stage.
Ash Mount is also a place where teachers learn. I have mentored school leaders, supported inspections, and helped teams grow from good to great. At Ash Mount, staff are valued and supported because when educators thrive, so do students. This is a school for the future, but it is also grounded in what matters now: connection, curiosity, and the joy of growing up. I would love for you to be part of it.
