Lower Secondary Pathway
Ages 11–16 (Grades 6–10)
Our Lower Secondary Pathway builds on the strong foundations established in Primary, challenging students to become independent, reflective and internationally minded learners. Through an inquiry-driven, concept-based approach, students deepen their understanding, explore complex ideas and make meaningful connections across disciplines.
Our curriculum is carefully sequenced, drawing on internationally recognised standards to ensure academic rigour while providing students with the opportunity to investigate authentic questions, collaborate with others and apply their learning to real-world contexts.
Students study a broad and balanced range of subjects, including languages, mathematics, sciences, arts, design, humanities, physical and health education, and technology. Interdisciplinary learning encourages students to connect knowledge across subjects, while sustained inquiry develops creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving.
As students progress through the pathway, they take increasing ownership of their learning, setting goals, reflecting on their progress and developing the confidence to tackle increasingly sophisticated challenges. A significant independent project in Grade 10 provides the opportunity to investigate a personal area of interest, demonstrating the knowledge, skills and attributes they have developed throughout the pathway.
Assessment is designed to support learning, providing timely feedback and clear next steps. Alongside classroom assessment, internationally recognised measures help ensure every student is appropriately supported, challenged and prepared for future success.

Students also work on interdisciplinary projects that connect multiple subject areas, helping them apply learning to real-world challenges. A personal project completed in the final year fosters self-directed learning, problem-solving, and creativity.
Progress is tracked using GL assessments, CAT4, and international benchmarks to ensure every student is supported and challenged appropriately.
